Morning Fans, I am a big fan of Darrell Stuckey.  This young man is about to enter his fourth season in the NFL.  I have never met Darrell but you can learn a lot about someone on Twitter….. see Shaun Phillips.  Darrell is married to his wife Lacey whom he meet in college.  The couple have a son named Jayton James Stuckey.  Darrell is a family oriented guy who loves children.  You can see this in the charities and events he volunteers for as a San Diego Charger.  Mr. Stuckey is always tweeting a positive message or scriptures from the Bible.  He works as hard as he hits on the field and is a team player.

Darrell Stuckey is an unsung hero on the field as a special teams ace.  Stuckey , Gachkar and Goodman are never praised for their vital roles on special teams.  Special teams have been Darrell’s primary duty on the team.  That is going to change for Darrell as rumors are surfacing that when the defense is in nickel, Marcus Gilchrist will relinquish the role of strong safety and play nickel cornerback.  When in this defensive package, Stuckey will take over strong safety position for Gilchrist.  This is part of McCoy’s  philosophy to put the best eleven players on the field at one time.  I am warming up to the new regime’s ways of thinking.  In Stuckey’s limited role last season he had twelve tackles and two forced fumbles.  If you have watched a Charger game you know Darrell brings the heat with every hit he delivers. It is a shock he has not caused more fumbles on special teams.

The bottom line is he is a good guy and a good player who can contribute to help this team win.  I am glad he is getting this opportunity and believe he with excel at it.  Stuckey is a blue-collar lunch pail kinda guy you cant help but route for.  Darrell best wishes and much success to you.

Have a Blessed Day,

Sam MCC
